We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous financial support. With your kindness, we are able to spread the Gospel, contribute to our community here in Cornwall, and uphold the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities. May God bless you abundantly!

If you wish to donate to the parish there are several ways to do this. We do encourage anybody that wishes to donate on a regular basis to be registered and have an envelope number created so we can send out tax receipts at the end of each year.

  1. Cash and cheques – make payable to St. Francis of Assisi Parish
  2. Automatic Debit – These reoccurring transfers will automatically be taken out of your account as a frequency determined by you (weekly, biweekly, monthly etc.) and for the amount you desire. Drop into the office or call and we can do the paper work and send it to the bank and the rest will be done for you.
  3. Interac E-Transfer – If you wish to send us a E-transfer, you can login to your online banking and send us an Interac E-tranfser to [email protected] at your convenience. Make sure to make a comment on what your envelope number is with each E-transfer.
  • Bequests – A bequest to parish is the donation of a specific asset or part or all of one’s estate, which is ordinarily provided for in one’s will.  The income tax credit for the donation can be claimed in the donor’s terminal income tax return and the return of the previous taxation year.  Because of the taxation years where the credit can be claimed, care should be taken to make sure the maximum credits can be claimed. Donations via a bequest can be claimed to 100% of net income.
  • Life Insurance – The donation of an existing life insurance policy or the taking out of a new life insurance policy can provide a substantial bequest to the church with little cost, the premiums.  In addition, the individual has the option to claim income tax credits now, during his or her lifetime, or upon death in the final two income tax returns (the terminal return and the return for the preceding taxation year).
